Back Flow and Water Meter Program
Willowside Mutual Water Company (WMWC) has implemented a program to update the system and monitor for water leakage by mandating that all Members are required to have backflow preventer assemblies and water meter. The back flow preventer will prevent cross contamination of the water system. The meter will allow monitoring for water usage, leaks, and any potential reverse flow on the Member’s property.
WMWC is responsible for paying for the meter, valve box, valve, and backflow preventer assembly installed on each service connection. The Member is responsible for paying for the installation cost and/or labor of the supplied meter, backflow preventor assembly (BPA), valve box and valve. Equipment will be installed by a WMWC approved Contractor.
